[ Etiquette ] Open Question : Was this rude of me??? HELP?
In health class, we had to ask the teacher a question to get to know him a little. I asked who his favorite Beatle was. He said, "John. You know, I saw them at Shea Stadium" I then said, "Oh yea my neighbor did too" And two boys laughed at that. And my teacher just nodded his head and went on. Did I cut him off in a rude way or something? Thanks! [ Cell Phones & Plans ] Open Question : Does the ENV touch speak text messages?how do i make it do this? [ Motorcycles ] Open Question : How Fast would a 50cc ATV go? [ Singles & Dating ] Open Question : Ok, I don't mean to brag, but what the f*&%?I don't wanna sound arrogant, but it's a part of my problem, so please bare with me for a moment. I just turned 20 years old. I am a civil engineering student. I am on a full ride scholarship and now that it's summer, I am working a full time job. I usually score in the top 5% of the nation on most tests, so I'm smart and I'm responsible, right? I also am told, and believe myself that I have a Great sense of humor. (Though the more irritated I get about this whole thing, the more that declines.) I stay in pretty good shape, I run 3 miles and lift weights for an hour and a half every other day. I put in hair gel, I wear nice looking clothes, shower every day, etc. So I'm at least average looking, I'd say a little above even. Aside from a little arrogance, I'm also generally really nice. I treat others with respect, and I studied a little Plato so I try to follow the path of virtue. I play a little guitar, and... I think you get the picture, I'm a pretty great guy. For some reason though, I CANNOT FIND A SINGLE WOMAN THAT WANTS ME!!!!!!!!! It's like I'm some piece of trash. For the last few years, I've been focusing on improving myself hoping that love would find me. It hasn't, in fact, I've gotten rejected three different times in the last six months. I've only had one "Girlfriend" and that was two years ago and only lasted a month-- I didn't even get to kiss her on the cheek! Yet I see so many guys in AMAZING relationships who have less than half what I've got going for me... What in the world is a guy to do? I just want to find some one to love... I saw my best friend buying flowers for his girlfriend today and realized how much it sucks that no one wants me to buy them flowers. I feel like I keep working for nothing, I'm so damn alone, so I work hard and improve myself, and nothing changes. I'm about ready to give up, it's like being a slave-- I'm seeing no fruit from my labor. Any advise on how I can get a girlfriend, what I'm doing wrong, how to make me feel better, etc???? [ Hair ] Open Question : best way to fix this hair problem?i have thick hair, but a bit short i'd say around 2inches. Whenever i take a shower my hair goes up and looks like a big afro. I usually use warm water for my hair, and my hair goes down, but now its just getting annoying, is there any way to make it go down after a shower? (sorry if i didn't give enough details or my question didn't make sense) [ Fashion & Accessories ] Open Question : What is "in" now, silver or gold jewelry? Please tell me your age and your opinion. Cheers!? [ NASCAR ] Open Question : What are NASCAR fans doing for the 4th of July?We have the 4th on the 3rd events. I am staying home tomorrow to take in everything. Family picnic on Saturday (but not missing the race). Church picnic on Sunday. Back to work on Monday after a 4 day weekend. [ Politics ] Open Question : Why do people trust biased media outlets?Yes, most are biased to some degree, but I'm referring to heavily biased ones like FOX, MSNBC and AM radio. It just seems like people trust in one or two networks like these, heavily slanted to their own end of the spectrum, and I think it's unfortunate -- especially in the cases when they dedicate a significant portion of their airtime to denouncing whoever they're biased against. You only get half the story, or in some cases, an extremely narrow-minded, far-x-wing view of it. True, sometimes you'll see sprinkles of the other side, but it's not like that makes up for the tilt of the network in general. Why feed yourself lies? Is it just not an issue to you what the other side thinks? What if they happened to have made a good point? Hitler was the one who said to never admit fault or acknowledge the opposition. I think the FCC needs to legislate a firm distinction between news and entertainment. If you mix them up, and they make up lies or twist the truth to fit their agenda, what are you left with? Garbage. FOX (for example) just defended their right to do this because of their freedom of speech, but where do you draw the line? [ Mathematics ] Open Question : what is the smallest integer?greater than 1 that leaves a remainder of 1 when divided by any of the numbers below: 6,8,10 [ Polls & Surveys ] Open Question : How do ugly people become the most successful models?asking for a friend. |
